Marc Brooks has served as pastor at GBC-Richlands since February 2012.
Pastor Marc’s passion is to see people come into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. His vision for the local church is a spiritually healthy and vibrant community of believers growing together, faithfully trusting God and demonstrating love toward one another.
Pastor Brooks is a graduate of The Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, with a bachelor’s degree in English, and of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina, with a Master of Divinity. He also holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.
Marc’s life ambitions are holiness and intimacy with God, integrity and authenticity with others, and a loving biblical influence on our culture.
Keith Griffin, our Minister to Students, has been serving at GBC-Richlands since August 2014. After college, Keith felt called to teach, and has passionately continued to influence youth in various forms of ministry. Originally from Ohio, Keith has been working with youth of all ages for the past 13 years. He has ministered as a Youth Pastor in Southern Indiana, and Memphis, TN; Parented in a children’s home in south Mississippi; Coached J.V. and Varsity Boys Basketball, directed Athletic programs, and taught in Christian schools in both Cincinnati, OH, and Memphis, TN.
Wanting to better equip himself to help teenagers with the struggles they face, Keith studied Biblical Counseling and graduated with his Masters degree in 2012 from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY.
Some of his favorite speakers and spiritual influences would be Charles Stanley, David Jeremiah, Francis Chan, David Platt, John Piper, Russell Moore, and Marc Brooks. His hobbies and interest include sports, Notre Dame football, playing card and video games, traveling, eating chocolate, and spending time with his baby boy. Keith’s wife Lacy enjoys serving with him in his ministries with music and drama, and recreation, as she cares for their son, Jude.
Keith strives to use his past experiences and working with youth and athletics to reach young people, and make a difference in the community of Richlands.
