YOUTH CALENDAR *All Youth forms are due Sunday, December 9.*
There are yellow order forms located on the tables at the church exits for each of you to fill out. These forms will be used by the Youth Group in creating a 2019 calendar as a fundraiser project for Youth Camp. We will also be using the information you provide to update our church records. Please take a moment to fill out one of these cards whether you desire a calendar or not and place the completed form(s) in the offering plate.
The deacons will meet on Sunday, December 9 @ 4:30 pm.
The Youth will meet at the FLC on Sunday, December 9 @ 6:00 pm for an evening of Christmas caroling. Weather permitting.
On Sunday, December 9 @ 6:00 pm the Baptist Women on Mission will host an International Missions study followed by our annual “Walk to the Manger” on Sunday, December 16 during the morning worship service. Our goal this year for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering is $3,000.

Due to impending snow the XYZ’s catered Christmas luncheon scheduled for Monday, December 10 has been rescheduled for Monday, December 17 @ 12:00 pm.
Our church is responsible for providing workers to help at the Food Pantry on Tuesday, December 11 and Friday, December 14 beginning @ 9:30 am each morning.
NIGHT OF PRAYER FOR INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS
GBC will be hosting a special service for the purpose of praying for the nations on Wednesday, December 12th at 7:00 pm. Come and join us as we lift up this very special prayer need during the Lottie Moon Offering for International Missions season!
The Youth will be traveling to Freedom Hall in Johnson City on Saturday, December 15 @ 3:00 pm for a Newsboys concert.
This year we have 7 families and 14 children’s names for our Angel Tree. Please select an ornament from the Angel Tree and attach it to your wrapped gift which is due by December 16. If you have any questions please contact Stacy Brooks, Lindsay Buchanan or Amanda Buskill.
The choir will present “Take Me Back to Bethlehem”, a Christmas Cantata, on Sunday, December 16 during the 11:00 am service and Wednesday, December 19 at 7:00 pm.
We will have our Christmas dinner on December 16 @ 5:00 pm. Please bring your favorite dish, ham and drinks will be provided.
NEW YEAR’S EVE WATCH-NIGHT SERVICE & FELLOWSHIP
Pastor Brandon Estep and Garden Baptist Church invite you to experience a Watch Night service on New Year’s Eve. The service begins at 9:00 pm with a inspirational message by Dr. Marc Brooks, followed by a fellowship meal and concludes at midnight with a prayer for peace and blessings in the new year. Hope to see you there!!!
Make plans now to be a part of the Live Nativity, December 21-23 from 6:00-8:30 pm. The Live Nativity Committee is requesting your assistance in bringing the following items for the kitchen: Pizza Rolls, Mini Corn Dogs, Chips, Dip, Nuts, Veggie Trays, Sandwiches, Soups and Desserts. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
